Loch Ness Shores
Donald and Lyn Forbes, owners of Loch Ness Shores, have made land available to Highland Council to allow the extension of the foot print of Foyers primary School.
The school is rurally located and surrounded by forest with just 16 pupils attending. The current site which is over 100 years old needs draining and sewerage upgrading. There are many constraints on the school site and the Forbes generosity means the school car park can now be extended, making the environment safer for the children.
It is also hoped in the future that land made available by Donald and Lyn will become a further extension of the children's play area incorporating woodland and wildlife habitats.
All of this will have a very positive impact on the children. It will help to create an area of exploration and discovery for the children, building on their imaginations and creativity in areas such as den building and to develop a greater understanding of the world around them.
Donald and Lyn have worked tirelessly for the benefit of the community and supported the school for many years. Loch Ness Shores has also welcomed visits from the local Rainbows, Brownies and Guides Units and indeed the wider community to join in the annual Celebrations for fireworks night.
